A World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a gathering of Scouts, internationally, to foster a worldwide brotherhood, and to help young Scouts in the movement learn about other nations by direct interaction.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan in 2015. Please read about my journey!

Arriving in Tokyo

The Bullet Train arrived in Tokyo and we were amazed at how busy and grand everything was in the station. We made a short walk to a local car park where we got a bus that took us to the National Youth

Today, it was Joss’ birthday, so I woke up (slightly) early and me and Gavin made Joss some egg and bacon sandwiches. Today’s activity was supposed to be an 8km nature walk, but very few people actually wanted to do it so

Day 7 — Water Activities

A relatively early start again today (6:00 breakfast) in order to get on a bus for 7:30; the organisers messed up slightly and we didn’t actually leave until around 8:30. At around 8:00 on the bus I realised that I’d forgotten my
