Mexico Day 5: A Final Day Exploring Mexico City

Whilst having a balcony facing out on the main square in Mexico City sounds like a blessing, it was the exact opposite of a blessing at 7:30 this morning when some sort of parade was going on right outside our window… Still,

Mexico Day 4: A Boat Ride in Xochimilco (Chocky-Milk-O)

Mexico Day 3: A Night in Puebla

We left Mexico City pretty early, ready for a 3-hour coach journey and overnight stay in Puebla. Our first stop for the day was in the ‘magic town’ of Cholula, featuring the largest pyramid in the world (provided you count ‘largest’ as

Mexico Day 2: Teotihuacan and Meeting Friends

The day started with a coach journey to Teotihuacan, which is a place about 35km outside of Mexico City centre which has been somewhat untouched since the Aztecs were settled there. We climbed various temples there, as they are one of the

Mexico Day 1: Tacos, Ruins, and Tacos

We started the day with an interesting breakfast consisting of ‘usual’ breakfast bits, as well as tacos and other spicy things. Oh, and an amazing view of the main square of the city. We saw the Mexican flag being lowered in the

Journey to Mexico City

Our coach left for the airport at 13:10, got a shuttle train to change terminal, then waited for our flight to Mexico City! We then boarded and were on our way! A quick coach to the hotel and we were there!

Since yesterday was so busy and my bus for the airport today left at 13:10, my only chance to explore the city was this morning. So Tom, Chris, Amy, and I all got the metro into the city centre. We got to
